What we do with your email address.

Short version: you give us an email address, we email you when the cream is ready, and that is the whole of it. We do not sell it, share it, or pass it to anyone for their own use. You can leave whenever you like.

Who is responsible for your information

Sosi Lagilagi, trading as 5051, is the data controller. That means we are the ones legally accountable for what happens to the information you give us.

What we collect

• Your email address. Because you typed it into the form.
• The date you signed up, and whether you confirmed.
• Basic information our email provider records automatically when you sign up or open an email — your IP address, roughly where in the world you are, and whether you opened a message or clicked a link in it.

That is everything. We do not ask for your name, your address, your age, or anything about your skin, and we have no way of knowing any of it.

Why we have it, and what allows us to

We use it for one thing: to tell you when 5051 is available, and occasionally to share how it is coming along before then.

The legal basis is your consent — you asked to be on the list. You can withdraw that at any time, and doing so is as easy as giving it: every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, or you can email us and we will remove you. Withdrawing does not affect anything that happened before you did.

Who else sees it

Our email list is held by Kit (kit.com, formerly ConvertKit), who send the emails on our behalf. They process your information on our instructions and cannot use it for their own purposes.

Kit is based in the United States, so your email address is stored outside the UK. Transfers like this are covered by standard contractual safeguards designed to keep your information protected to the same standard it would be here.

Our website is hosted by Netlify, who keep standard server records of visits.

Beyond those two, nobody. We do not sell, rent, swap or share your address, and we never will.

How long we keep it

Until you ask us not to. If you unsubscribe or email us, you are removed.

If you sign up but never confirm, we delete the address after twelve months, since an unconfirmed address is of no use to either of us.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own, has no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no third-party trackers. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Two honest caveats. The fonts on this page are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google sees your IP address when the page loads. And once you submit the form, Kit may set a cookie of their own as part of handling the sign-up.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy
• correct it if it is wrong
• delete it
• stop using it, or restrict how we use it
• hand it over in a portable form

Email 5051grooming@gmail.com and we will sort it. There is no charge, and we will respond within a month. Given that all we hold is an email address, most of these requests take about a minute.

If you are unhappy

Tell us first and we will try to put it right. If that does not work, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for this: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this page

If we change how any of this works — particularly once we start selling — we will update this page and change the date at the top.
